there was this really heavy storm yesterday, since it was a CCA day, there were many people seeking shelter at the canteen. i stayed till around 6.30pm and sat with my choir friends. then, we walked and walked to the traffic light, and i saw a super giant and cool rainbow! then, i got very excited and started screaming like some psycho freak. everyone made me feel so suaku by saying stuff like "wow, this is the happiest moment of samantha's life after 16 years" and "you never see rainbow before meh?" so POT CALLING KETTLE BLACK! (oo i used an idiom :D) after crossing the road, everyone started taking out their phones and snapped piccas of the rainbow. tingying claims that her phone cam was wonky, so i snapped one for her :D thank me! went home with chelyn. there was an awkward silence as we went home. oh oh and the rainbow view was really superly awesome at the downstairs of my house! it was this giant semicircle, like how people draw them in cartoons. didn't know that rainbows could ever be in this shape! best part: double rainbow!

had chemistry practical test on qualitative analysis today. it was quite easy, but i hate drawing tables D: anyway, i managed to get it right! yes hooray for me and everyone who got it right!

also had physics practical today. continued with that darned lens experiment. managed to do it in the end, but got some values from other people. hence, my graph isn't as accurate. oh well.

huibing, wantian and i were standing near the rain, outside the class (huibing and wantian were trying to take pictures of raindrops, i wanted to get wet). in the end, we got REALLY REALLY wet. my back was totally drenched, and my chair had my butt print went i sat down. cool.

cross country tomorrow. wanna do duty, but have to run since there's no duty. damnit. last year, i got to do treasure hunt duty, so it was fun. this year... i don't know.

right now, i feel as if i just swallowed a bunch of nails. my throat hurts like mad, espcially when i swallow. lucky choir audition is next week and not this week. hopefully can recover by then :D

hello. this is just some impromptu post, so hope you don't mind the messiness and stuff. i gotta get a heavy burden off my chest D:

flag day was kinda fun (emphasise on KINDA). supposed to meet mrs nathan at the kovan station at 7.30am, but woke up at 7.15am. panicked, but then i realised that panicking wasn't gonna help, so i decided to rush instead! so met mrs nathan blah blah... reached the collection point at 8.10am. pretty early eh? met shize on the way too. mrs nathan kept asking me about my post-sec education and my siblings and stuff. you know, the typical questions that teachers ask students during some random LCE counselling. other 4hum people came bit by bit.

after collecting our apex tins, we went off to try our luck at different places. turned out that claudia was at band, so i paired up with clara and we went to some walkway across the road. based on clara's st john experience, we should not keep shifting from place to place, so we stayed there for almost 2 hours. "business" was good :D managed to get lotsa coins and some notes too. clara got a $10 note o.o i think the cutest part of the job was the teeny kids who came to donate. we had to squat so that they could reach the tins. but most of them donated because of the sticker! and there was this freaky old man...
sam: would you like to donate?
oldie: where does the money go to?
clara: it's for the disabled elderly.
oldie: what about me? i'm old and disabled too, but no one's helping me.
*sam & clara freak out, oldie walks off*

strange eh? ok so at the end of our shift, we proceeded back to the collection point to sign out. darn the apex lady. she said that my tin wasn't heavy and asked me to do 1 more hour. HELLO? this is a DONATION for goodness sake! who demands more during donations? i was kinda mad at her, but i couldn't do it anyway as i had piano lesson after that. bad mood after that D:

left the place at 12.03pm. annabel and the rest went to watch The Curious Case Of Benjamin Button and eat chocolate fondue while i went off for lesson. however, i felt SO DARN SLEEPY in the train that i decided to cancel my lesson. so went home and slept for 3+ hours. then went to grandma's house for dinns.

something weird happened on msn. shall not talk about it.

sometimes, i impersonate my sis on msn, and i'm a super pro! to all sabrina's friends: you may not be talking to her!

i realised that i can type my email without looking at the keys! that's cool :D

i am trying to get amnesia. someone help me? D:

suddenly in love with school. don't know why :D

i can do a long post like this in 20 minutes, but it takes me hours to do a simple english/chinese journal.

whee it's my hundredth post! YESSS! finally reached the big 1 double O... after a year and 2 months. slow eh? no matter. i'm still happy :D

had SL investiture today. the process was much slower than the rehearsal because of all the speeches and videos and such. anyway, I GOT MY BADGE BACK! confirmed it's mine :D adele and chester (i finally know who's chester!) are 2 very cute emcees because they're [short]er than me, and adele has this unique voice sound :D

flag day's tomorrow! kinda excited about it because i don't know why. meeting mrs nathan at 7.30am at hougang station. that's so early man D: will she blabber about maths? i shall find out tomorrow ;D i suspect that mrs nathan is gonna collect stuff before the flag day. otherwise why would she wanna meet so early? :/

according to ms yee, choir members can't go for LTC unless they're in exco. darn it i was so looking forward to that. but anyway i guess it's worth missing it for choir :D i already went last year, which by the way was oh so fun (check my archives). hopefully choir can get gold and beyond this time again! frankly speaking, i'm kinda worried about our choir standard now. seems to be dropping since charlene's time. i think we all should totally get the SYF mindset and try to be more attentive and also practise more. GO CHOIR! :D yay.

my O level exam fee is a whopping 476 bucks o.o way more than everyone else's D: got 4 additional components because of the music exam. damn.

today's a good day :D

we had physics practical in the morn. we did some experiment whereby we were supposed to view some pin thingy through a converging lens and make sure everything coincides. almost everyone (some pairs managed to get the values) couldn't see the inverted image and mr chang and madam ee had to go around and help us. aiqi and i had to keep changing our values after asking how the image should look like. it was a frustrating.

shall not elaborate about chinese. hahha.

next after recess, came geography. we went to the computer lab to do our research about deforestation. annabe even created a blog for it. yay i'm an admin! but now i got 4 blogs. darn. at least the 3hum'08 blog isn't functioning anymore.

biology came after that. did some workbook and bio stuff. mrs ganesan said that she'll probably start a little on human reproduction next week. she mentions it as "noel's favourite topic". well not surprised that she said that! oh noel says that a lot of people think i'm sick. really? who? oh well :D

a maths came after that. we went through the exercises. differentiation is cool :D i like. mrs nathan also gave us some circles and matrices worksheets to help us prepare for the upcoming common test. yucks i hate circles and matrices. she also sorta digressed and went on to talk about flag day this saturday! whee i think it's gonna be fun :D she wrote down the entire route on the board, connected by arrows and stuff. a little like a flow chart if you ask me.

today's afternoon programme was chemistry. we went to the lab to do experiments to test for gases, such as carbon dioxide, hydrogen, oxygen, chloride gas, sulphur dioxide and ammonia. it was kinda cool, although the whole lab was totally polluted with all sorts of gases. felt a bit light-headed after that. the hydrogen one was the best! it extinguishes a flame with a POP sound. at one point, a lot of us were doing the hydrogen experiment, so many random POPs could be heard all around. it was so cute :D

had SL investiture rehearsal after school. did all the usual stuff and did the dance at actual speed. quite fun actually. can't wait for SL investiture this friday!

posting this in response to my tagboard. hello everyone, i am still around, not leaving. so this blog ain't gonna die so soon (unlike jingyi's). haha :D

everyone got totally busted by cheng lao shi yesterday. what a way to spend the first lesson in school. but lucky it was the first lesson, so by the time the day has ended, everyone would have regained their normal happy selves. seriously, cheng lao shi scared me yesterday. my hands were shaking as i was doing the zuo ye 1 and 2. anyway jingyi said that cheng lao shi was kinda friendly during the 20min detention that was supposed to be an hour. she's just acting fierce i guess. hooray for cheng lao shi for not being mad at us anymore! :D

today we commemorated total defence day. assembly was kinda cool as there was some funny play and also a silent video created by 4 hope. i realised that 4 hope is a very creative and spontaneous class. that's great. then at 9am, we were supposed to switch off all electricity supplies so as to have a first-hand experience of war conditions. lucky class is on the top floor, but still... darn. canteen sold war food like sweet potato, green bean soup and peanut porridge. the bad news is that there wasn't much variety, the good news is that we just hve to pay $1 and just take and go, unlike usual times where the whole canteen's practically in chaos.

today's also valentine's eve! some people gave me kisses chocs and salanne/queenie gave a boost bar! woo i LOVE boost bar and kisses chocs! but why do people always relate valentine's day with sweets and sugary delights that cause tooth mayhem that is totally undelightful? who knows, who cares? i love chocolates.

currently eating mummy's blueberry cake. i love blueberry cake!

it's been 5 days since i posted. oh well.

the OBS people came back today! woohoo i finally got my shirt :D thanks salanne. i realised that i can group them into 3 categories.

1) sunburned
2) no burn
3) chilli sauce

ok i shall not eloaborate anything about that cuz it's kinda strange. some of the sec 3s came for choir today! (they didn't sing, just watched) shervin's hand was totally burned and red. when we were returning back to the music room from sectionals, i was walking beside her and could feel her had radiating heat! that's so cool. salanne didn't burn much, but she did get darker. esther was weird because since her fringe covered one side of her face, only the side exposed to the sun burned. haha. it's the same scenario as me.

note to self: pin up my fringe before partaking in outdoor activities that may have something to do with UV light.

ryan was the worse! he's got some mega serious third-degree burns on his face. i never thought anyone could burn like a barbeque, until now. he says that he has sensitive skin. so do i o.o PE under the sun may cause my arms to turn slightly reddish. he looked scary at first because of the fact that he could get skin cancer (touch wood) anytime. but after a while, he looked kinda funny :D wonder if he's gonna have a hard time showering. and there's this majorly disgusting blister thingy on his ear. wonder how that got there?

to ryan: I WOULD LOVE TO CHANGE SKIN CONDITIONS WITH YOU, BUT YOU CAN KEEP THAT BLISTER :D

hello! suddenly feeling much better now. haha. still kinda jealous, but i figured that being jealous won't help me get to OBS, so let's just live life as it is and be happy. hahhs (still dissed at the afternoon programme thingy though).

i'm really like claudia this year. i'm totally slacking like her, i love taking pictures like her, and my handwriting looks like hers. what's the deal with that? oh well.

dad's talking about a end-of-year trip to chiangmai (subject to change). looking forward to that :D my dad hasn't sat a plane for 8 years, mum for 16 years and sis and bro haven't sat at all. as for me, i haven't sat a plane with my family before. wonder how it'll be like?

yay me for being a happy kid :D

i got flu today and OBS for sec 3s starts tomorrow. is this some kind of prank? freaky deja vu (if you know what happened last year). maybe i'm just not fated to go for any OBS in my entire life.

-i showed claudia my most ugly me on friday. sorry claudia, didn't mean it.
-i hate how people keep talking about OBS once they're back, and when i tell them i didn't go, some say, "HAHA, someone didn't go!" WTH.
-afternoon programmes are still frigging stupid. what's up with that?
-dropped my phone yesterday, which caused the camera button to stop working. so now i have to use the direction button to take photos. anyway, my phone cam is crap. whatever.
life is screwy.
oh shut up sam.

apologies if you think i'm acting like some crap now, but i'm really REALLY upset.
