back after 11 days of busy-ness! :D

25/4/2009:
went to St Luke's Hospital for CIP. the place was really far off in Bukit Batok, so it look around a half hour ride to get there. huibing and i were stoning in the bus. i must say, when she's feeling lethargic, she's REALLY lethargic. i saw this sun/moon thing in the sky. it was the same thing i saw in korea. it's too bright to be a moon, and too visible to be the sun, so what it is? i, till now, have absolutely no idea.

reached St Luke's at around 9.30am. got some instructions from the volunteers there on what to do. that place was kinda scary at first, because it was quite dead, and some of the old people are really just wrinkly, pigmented skin and bones. at first, we all thought that cheng yao was really not a good idea, but after a while, we realised that some of the old folks really liked it! :D they're a cute bunch of old people. hees. jingyi and i talked to this malay lady, who then cried after our performance! please don't cry! D: then wantian was shouting at this other old lady, not in a bad way, but cuz the old lady couldn't hear well. that was funny too.

left the place at 11.15am, when we were just starting to have fun entertaining the old people D: poo. coach sent us back to school, and we made our way to woodlands for the workshop. i don't see why the coach couldn't just send us there straight.

p.s on 161, this man who sat beside me just plomped down as if the seat was his sofa, making my side of the seat bounce up. huibing laughed o.o

[CIP photos on facebook :D]

28/4/2009:
chinese paper 1, 2 and 3. what a lot to handle! phew at least we got over the chinese at one shot! paper 2 was kinda tough, so was the listening compre. and it doesn't help when you're sitting at the back of the class D: paper 1 was fine, just hope that i got my format right. cheng lao shi didn't scold me today, so maybe i DID get it right! yay.

29/4/2009:
did some genetic family tree thing with mrs ganesan. it was totally fun. i'm in the same branch as claudia and huibing! but we all got different blood groups though. i'm O, claudia's AB while huibing's A. sheesh. jasmine showed me her swollen bug bite (apparently). it was really horrible. looked like a rotten sunny-side-up. and she cut it out after music lesson! she said it's painful and the pus looks gross.

TODAY:
woohoo! today's the lat day of april! i thought this day would never come. don't you feel that it's been april for a long time? well i do. today's a rather OK day. cheng lao shi made us do the other letter writing topic D:< maths lesson was fun :D mrs nathan seems to be our friend, rather than our teacher, and it was more like a laughing session rather than a maths lesson. the other lessons were boring as usual. we found out today that ms zahila's engaged! congratulations to ms zahila! XD jasmine's wound was oozing blood today.

i think i should really try to update regularly, otherwise i'll have to keep backtracking, which makes my post super long.

the swine flu thing is really getting serious D: now it's a global pandemic. is it still safe for that croatia trip? hoho, good game.

i'm back. this post will only be about 17 april, also known as SYF day.

reached school at 7 plus, reported straight to music room. after doing all the usual hoohahhs and changing to my gown (had to swap with justina as i've outworn mine) and makeup, ms yee came in and we did warmups and some last minute practise. practice was great. boarded the bus and headed down to VCH. luckily the 10 am recess had just ended, so all my classmates won't have to see me. we were totally silent in the bus, just thinking of the songs and mentally preparing ourselves.

reached VCH at about 11.30am plus? no one had watches so i actually seriously lost track of time for quite a while. did more warmups at some open space outside VCH. boy was it hot! there were many tourists and people with cams taking photos of us. i guess this is a good practice for your concentration - whether you shift your eyes about or just totally look at ms yee.

after toilet break, we went to some holding room to practise some more. they only gave us some crazy 10 minutes to practise. i must admit, we sounded pretty good. back there, i was confident that we really could achieve our G word. ms yee told us to think of minhan as a horse/spouting merlion for the set piece, so that we could have the right expression and all. that bit was cool :D

then it was time for us to wait outside the hall. we heard 2 choirs before us. their versions of White Horses were totally different from us. one was super fast, the other was a tad slower. i felt really nervous at that time. we did the chain massage thing to relax. hugged salanne, esther, shervin and clarissa before going upstage. we proceeded with our performance. White Horses wasn't that bad, so was O Lux. but for Diu Diu Dang, our best song, it was totally screwed, especially the behind bit. we sorta went up key till all the sopranos were almost shrieking. i felt the ending was quite rush too. maybe it's cuz we wanted to end quick and get it over with.

after the performance, we were quite satisfied. but then ms yee said, "i got nothing to say. all i can say is that that wasn't your best." that comment was reall quite a big blow to all of us. she also mentioned that it would really be God's grace for us to achieve G. some of us cried, i didn't cuz i wanted to save the tears for the results, though there were moments when i felt submissive towards my emotions.

lingered around during lunch time and sat in during PHS's performance. i actually fell asleep and junkiat and rachel had to wake me up. my eyes felt super heavy that time. reached back to school at around 3. changed and removed bun and makeup. felt pleased to be in my usual self again :D stayed in the canteen with annabel, claudia and YA (left early) till the results came out. the 3 of them were making up for chinese tests, while i was walking to and fro the drink stall to buy snacks and ice cream. i went bankrupt after that.

results came out at 6.30pm. sylvia called out to me and said, "we got silver!" i was like, "huh?" thought she was kidding. then gabriel came and confirmed it, and i saw jan, adele, justina and isabel crying at some other table. it was then that i knew but i was in self denial (the kind where people won't face the facts that their loved one has passed on). called tingying but she didn't pick up. tears came out unknowingly. after a while, thingying called me and we were both crying over the phone. cried for around half an hour. hugged the other choir members in school, and we all cried together. later found out that all the coir members, regardless of where they were, were all crying. called salanne, and she told me the whole gang was at rachel's house, and all of them were crying.

i felt disappointed and felt that we let ms yee and the senoirs down. i can't really desribe how sad i felt. cried again that night and yesterday night.

not looking forward to them announcing to the school that we got a stinking silver. maybe i'll cry again. my eyes have been puffy as grapes these few days, but i have to learn to get over it myself, even though i have been comforting others too.

hello yellow fellows! i know my blog's on the verge of extinction now, but whocares, i'm back :D

i've been studying since the 200th day before Os, so maybe i won't be blogging (or even touching the com) as much D: the teachers have serious miscommunication. they all think that the other teachers won't give homework, so in the end WE get a lot of it. so unfair, then they scold us for not handing in their homework when they're unaware of the tragic amount of homework we really got! and why is it that the big P don't scold teachers for returning our homework on time? sometimes we get our homework 10 days after submitting them. life is unfair. lucky i'm graduating from HI this year and enjoying my big break :D i've already started planning for what i'm gonna do.

i hate crowded trains. i spent the bulk of my day today taking crowded trains around this little island. not that i'm claustrophobic, but i just feel quite insecure standing near strangers, especially middle-aged males who might be suffering from a mid-life crisis. poop :/ and then there's the case where people with long hair swish it in your face when they're trying to squeeze their way through a crowd. sheesh. at least i have good balance, otherwise i'll fall over other people in the train and then have to frame them for alleged molestation, which is so evil.

david A was here last week! XD too bad i missed his mini performance D: oh well, at least there's radio.

SYF in 5 days! me gets to skip lesson that day. jealous much? i'm feeling a concoction of ecstacy and anxiety. our aim is GOLD, but will it happen? it's possible, but if someone trips and falls while walking upstage, THAT'S IT. GONE.

i remember a day last week when it rained like crazy. the parents and brother weren't home, and me and sis were watching some hongkong drama on tv. when it started raining...
sis: eh let's go close the windows.
sam (intrigued by the show): aiya wait a while lah.
sis: ok.
*call from mum, reminding us to close the computer window*
sis: come on!
sam: fine!
*sam and sis get a shock to see rain pouring through every window, wetting everything in its path*

we had to do some major cleanup. the computer table was flooded with water. that includes the CPU, monitor, our mio box thingy, the printer and all its papers. there was so much water that it flowed into my room. my brother's mr noisy colour-in got sabotaged too, and we couldn't save it. my brother's pants and mr bean teddy, and dad's pants and my archie comics in my parents' room got seriously soaked. we had to use all the items that we've got that could absorb fluids to dry them, and that included mum's just-washed towel. when she asked why her towel got so dirty, i told her it fell off the balcony.

my mum says that the way me and my peeps talk is the way the girls talk on S factor. come on! S factor is a show that's non-intellectual and i'm a very intellectual person! darn. why do they have that show on anyway? i have no idea.

197 days to Os! i'm excited :D

yay happy april fool's day! :D i got tricked 2 and a half times today. damn D: told myself this morning to be more vigilant and "red alert", but, whatever :D

1ST TIME!
jingyi/claudia: hey sam you dropped something!
sam: huh? *blur and looks down*
jingyi/claudia laughs their head off XD
darn! my 2 pals!

2ND TIME!
melvin (with a damn serious face): eh samantha, where's your SL badge?
sam: what? *worriedly touches collar and feels for badge*
melvin: HAHAHA! HAPPY APRIL FOOL'S!
sam: ._. damnit!
darn! my chemistry lab partner!

HALF TIME!
wantian to sam/bel/clara/claudia: hey look there!
all of us looks somewhere in the sky BUT sam sensed something fishy and turned back after 1 second!
HEEHEE this is why it's not counted as ONE.

got our new ezlinks yesterday. i miss my old one! this new one's weird. background looks funny and they decided to use our P6 photo. i looked so retarded in that one D: we're only gonna use it till 31st dec 2009, then who knows what's gonna come next. sheesh.

mrt fares will be reduced by 1 cent from today :D yay i'm happy.

and suddenly, my surroundings were blur. i felt dizzy and as if i was bearing the burden of the world. butterflies in my stomach, a burning sensation around my abdomen. something BIG's going to happen. at that moment, my family, friends and all the loved ones will run away and desert me, fearing that they may get infected by the outcome. this is really bad.
oh no, it's really coming.
must try to control, but it seems impossible at this stage.
damn.
i'll miss my loved ones.
here it comes!

YES!
.
.
.
i finally farted.

the little funnies in life :D
