had teacher's day celebration in school today. i think it was kinda cool, especially since it's the last year we're seeing our teachers D: man, that's bittersweet.ok, let's start from yesterday. went to claudia's house at 11 plus to make cookies. it was really fun, cuz we used our hands to mix up the choc chips bit (we washed our hands, don't worry -.-). wantian went totally crazy over the whole cookie dough, cuz she rolled the whole thing into a giant ball and went around showing everyone her masterpiece :D haha funny wantian. made about 4 to 5 batches of cookies, equivalent to 100 plus cookies. i was the most "commited" one, cuz i stayed from batch 1 till almost the one. let me tell you, rolling dough into walnut-sized things before flattening them is really no joke, but squishing dough sure is fun, especially the part where you get to lick the stuff off your fingers after that :D max gave me that gleamy eyed look as he saw my choc-covered hands. he's funny (: he followed me around the house, but at least he's civilised enough to not follow me into the toilet XD left claudia's house at 3.30pm, along with annabel and huibing.
met noel at 4.45pm to get the surprise cake from him. he told me to be there at 4.30pm SHARP, but when i smsed him after i reached, he told me the cake's not ready yet. i was like o.o the cake was heavy and i had to call my sister down to help me carry it. it couldn't fit in my fridge, and my mum was all frustrated and annoyed. but lucky for me, she managed to get one of my grandma's friends in the same condo to tongpang the cake. phew~
reached school at 6.30am this morning to deposit the cake with the drink stall people. i tell you, they can be pretty mean if you're asking for a favour rather than patronising in their services D: so much for always buying drinks and snacks from them! DX had the skipping challenge thingy after assembly. there was one point where we saw this teacher whom we thought was a judge, and we jumped 24x20 times! only AFTER we jumped, he said he's not a judge, and we were o.o!! when the REAL judge came, we only managed 16x20 times D: gahh. pretty frustrating, but at least we got 3rd place in the whole school (:
after skipping, we had the surprise. waited like half an hour before both teachers were ready. didn't really feel like a surprise anymore. popped party poppers when they came in. it's been a super long time since i held a party popper :D so, yeah. sang "happy teacher's day" to the tune of "happy birthday", then cut cake and took class photos. i smiled till my facial muscles almost cramped up and stayed that shape. no kidding man. managed to finish the whole cake in less than half an hour. it was good.
went to hall for teacher's day concert. the first few performances were good, especially that band from 1 charity. the 1 charity performances weren't as comical as what my sister described it to be though D: it got a little strange after that. i've got nothing to comment about the other performances o.o congrats to mr chang for winning the lamest teacher award, and mrs nathan for winning the most homework teacher! :D our class can provide a testimony for mr chang's lameness and mrs nathan's homeworkiness (:
had the last music coursework session after school, when most of the students have already gone home D: well at least we're officially done with it! :D
1st september tomorrow, which means one more month before O levels! getting increasingly excited by the day :D
